Born out of an appreciation of concrete and its use as a principal design element, we aim to establish its place in architectural and interior design, both in commercial and residential projects. With a wide range of customizable surface uses, Blend coincides with the rise of concrete as a luxury architectural material.  designholic’s spirit has always been curious, intuitive and daring.

Designholic tiles are made from high quality preselected materiales. The different combinations used at BLEND consist of sand,  cement, dyes and modern additives all necessary to produce ultra high performance concrete.

Coatings vary between 0.5cm – 3cm in thickness.

Designholic tiles aren’t rectified or milled prior to delivery. They are manufactured with a tolerance of  2mm where small variations may occur.

Due to its natural setting process and innate finishes of cement, each element contains a special finish and tonal variation  which makes each piece unique.

Our color palette should be sued only a reference. Each reference can vary slightly in color, tone and texture within each batch or between batches from the same bulk. This variation gives a unique and unparalleled aesthetic.

Tiles should be placed over concrete, firm mortars, concrete blocks or clay, over superboard walls, all primed, leveled and free of any humidity.

Mortar with high adhesion, low levels of permeability, low shrinkage and high flexibility rates. (we recommend Andimix adhesive).

Designholic tiles can be cut using a circular saw with a thin continuous blade.

We recommend using separators no smaller than 3mm in thickness.

We recommend Andimix -a special mix material. All Designholic tiles leave our factory pre-sealed or waterproofed. We do apply a protective coating to minimize and smudges or stains during installation, however waterproofing should be reinforced when apply finishes.

The athermic value depends on the plaque color you have selected. The lighter the color the less temperature is absorbed by the plaque.

The process used is the same that is used with ceramic tiles, utilizing a cemente based adhesive.

As long as the mosaics are maintained in the proper and recommended manner they should not stain. If any liquid has been spilt over the tiles, we recommend cleaning the surface immediately.

Our calcareous tiles are the most suited to use in humid spaces with an extra coat of sealant applied.

Yes, only when applied over an adequate surface.

The concrete used in Designholic tiles is one made with color completely integrated into the whole composition which guarantees permanence of color. Care must be taken when cleaning the tiles, not to create high levels of friction which could lead in the upper layer being worn away and give the appearing of fading.

For daily cleaning, we recommend using a neutral soap. For flooring , every 2 – 3 months its necessary to apply a new coat of sealant, and with tiles a new coat of waterproofing.

Designholic products shouldn’t be waxed. We recommend sealant for exterior flooring or facades and follow the correct maintenance process. For interior walls, a frequent clean and application of waterproofing is suficient.

We recommend applying a new coat every 6 months. However, it depends on the condiciones to which the surface is exposed and the amount of traffic it endures.
